Lichess study with false results #14249
Comments
What do these results mean? I’ve never seen that notation |
If a check-in time is set for a tournament and the opponent does not show up, the opponent who is not there loses. However, since no game was played here, this is indicated with + and -. If it says +:-, for example, it means that white has won but has not played. With -:+ it is the other way around. Black gets the point but has not played. If neither player comes, the game is rated -:-. However, I have only experienced this once before at a major chess tournament. In such select tournaments where Magnus Carlsen or Hans Niemann play, this happens very rarely, but in normal tournaments it can happen from time to time. And even if it's just an opponent who falls ill. ExampleCZECH OPEN 2023 - A - PARDUBICE OPEN

Can you provide the exact PGN you uploaded? |
So I simply copy the content into a code environment.

Steps to reproduce the bug
What did you expect to happen?
I expected lichess to display a +:- as the result or just a *
What happened instead?
The result was scored as a draw.
Operating system
Windows 11
Browser and version (or alternate access method)
Chrome 122.0.6182.0
Additional information
In my opinion, special results such as +:-, -:- are not interpreted correctly. But to always dismiss them as draws is simply wrong.
