Emerald save detected as Ruby/Sapphire + Bag slots corrupted

Hi everyone!

I've tried to find similar reports about this issue but couldn't find anything, so I decided to report it here.

Since the last PKHeX update, my Pokémon Emerald save is incorrectly recognized as a Ruby/Sapphire save. While this is already concerning, the main issue is that the bag slots are completely misaligned:

The Ball bag is recognized as the TM/HM bag
The TM/HM bag is recognized as the Berry bag
And so on...
As a result:

Items disappear or get mixed up when I edit my bag.
Saving the modified save file creates a complete mess, similar to how Gen 1 games handle item slots (e.g., the Bicycle appears in the Items pocket instead of the Key Items pocket).
Could someone check if this issue happens only to me, or if it's a problem with the latest PKHeX update? Also, could it be that my save file got corrupted somehow ( I play with a french rom ) ?

PS :I've already do a backup so I've lost nothing :)

Wow well, Thank you for your reply! And thanks to your question, it make me just tested something. As far as i know it was a vanilla rom but !

I tried using both the Japanese and English versions of Emerald, and PKHeX correctly recognized them as Emerald. So, I decided to delete my French version of the game, re-download it, and create a fresh save file.

Now, PKHeX properly detects my French version as Emerald as well! It seems like something was wrong with my previous save or ROM. Thanks again 😊
