The KrakenSDR can be used with TAK, via canaryradio's TAK server https://github.com/canaryradio/Kraken-to-TAK-Python. Please note that this is third-party software, which we have included with the KrakenSDR images due to popular demand.

To activate the TAK server follow these steps.

  1. First, ensure that you have set your Location Source to Static and have entered your station's Lat/Lon and antenna array heading details. If you are using a GPS connected to the Kraken, choose GPS as your Location Source instead.

  2. Click on the TAK button on the top menu. A new tab should open with the TAK server settings. If the page does not load, replace krakensdr:8000 with KRAKEN_IP_ADDR:8000 in the URL bar.

  3. Under Kraken Server IPv4, enter the IP address of the KrakenSDR. Also, under Kraken Station ID, enter a name for your KrakenSDR. Click the Save button.

  4. Under TAK Destination IP, enter the IP address of the device running the TAK software. Assuming you are using the default port, enter 6666 under TAK Destination Port. Click the Save button.

  5. Ensure that On/Off Multicast is green and says Broadcasting.

If you refresh the TAK page the entered settings will disappear, but they are saved in the backend.
