Description
kedro run -v
verbose mode #3591This draft PR is not ready for merge, but rather facilitate the discussion of the issues above.
Development notes
Changes:
logging.yml
- 65cf2a0 . This challenge the idea of "project logging". Why islogger
necessary? It's more common to have module level logger, which propagate log to the "root logger", and set the level for root logger only. The exception here is "info logger" because it should only filterINFO
level. If anythinglogger
should be optional, not default. I also think it's more likely you want to keep the level consistent for anylogger
you have manually configured, it's rare you wantkedro
atINFO
but project atDEBUG
(This become less important if we end up introduce-v
or-vv
logging.yml
affect any Kedro CLI. While this introduce a slight inconsistency, I don't think this is a big problem. As I envision this is mainly for debug use.I imagine
-v
,-vv
is a runtime config that used mostly for debugging. If users has sophisticated configuration, they can continue to uselogging.yml
to have different group of settings (I haven't seen much tbh)Alternatlive, I found
pip

See our wiki for guidance. If your PR is blocked due to unsigned commits, then you must follow the instructions under "Rebase the branch" on the GitHub Checks page for your PR. This will retroactively add the sign-off to all unsigned commits and allow the DCO check to pass.
