This issue is now treated as suggestion box for version 4.2.0.
This future release intended to be a 'clean' release, which gives priority to bug fixes. Known suggestions are being listed under each milestones. Besides these, if anyone can point out any small things that can be fixed, feel free to leave a comment at below.
Last revised: 2016.09.30
I have been updating changelog in the master branch without altering the version number. Due to this, typical users might not notice major changes that happened just by looking at the version number, which appears to be same as last version update for v4.1.1 (May 7, 2015).
Justifications
There have been major improvements since then, which can be noticed by looking at commit 09a9087 done to ChangeLog file on last year. Following this, I shall note all changes that had been done after May 7, 2015 until recent date, update some files, then update version to v4.2.0 instead.
This release 4.2.0 will feature nothing other than reviewing source code, minor fixes and proper notes of changes that had been done from May 7, 2015 until the future commit date. There shall be no critical changes to the codes, just doing some clean up.
Despite being "just doing some clean up", I begin to see 4.2.0 as quite significant.
Corrections
In earlier plan, I had written to edit line 10 PYTHON = python2 to allow better compatibility with Debian host system [...]; The subsequent text has been noted wrongly. This is now correctly explained in Supported host system page following this revision of Wiki.
Behind this issue
Given that I am neither a developer nor a programmer, I don't know the details. I could tell what works and what did not work, but can't provide any supporting text to explain that. I was able to figure out how to update the version by looking at commit 4bdcc7a and ee119cf.
Besides these, there is no easy way to tell which part of source code that should be updated. This is something new for me to do all together. If I were to assign myself, it may be some time later.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
