Submenus
Submenus in Arctic Horizon are handled differently to how how you might be normally accustomed.
There are four different ways that submenus are used in the skin:
Simply put, the Submenu Widget shows your submenu items as a home screen widget.
Set the submenu widget the same way you would set any other widget.
Customise Home > Widgets > Choose Widget > Default Widgets > Other > Submenu Widget
The Submenu Popup is an Action that you set to the shortcut of a main menu item. When you click on the main menu item, a dialog will popup with your submenu items.
To set the submenu popup, add it as an action.
Customise Home > Action > Common > Submenu Popup
The Submenu Hub is a special window that displays your submenu items as button shortcuts with widgets underneath. Follow the same steps as submenu popup but choose the Hub action instead.
Customise Home > Action > Common > Submenu Hub
The widgets in a submenu hub can be set by attaching a Hub Widget to a submenu item
When that submenu item is highlight, the hub widget set will be displayed underneath. You can also set a fallback widget to use when no submenu widget is set. Set the fallback widget by choosing a hub widget for the associated main menu item.
The Showcase Hub functions similarly to the submenu hub. Like the submenu hub, the showcase hub is a special window that displays your submenu items as a row of items with associated hub widgets underneath.
In addition, the showcase hub also displays a background showcase which is based off the hub widget for the main menu item.
You can also use the Showcase Hub on the main menu in place of the fullscreen widget.
Skin Settings > Home > Use showcase hub for fullscreen widget
Now the showcase hub will show for any main menu item that doesn't have any normal widgets set (you can still set hub widgets for each section, however).
