Difference between heating and auto mode - Strange behaviour with scheduler #883
-
Hi :) first of all.. Tried to find something in the docs. Maybe the question is to stupid. But what exactly is the difference between "AUTO" Mode and "HEATING" Mode? In both modes, presets (Eco, Comfort) can be active. Does the advanced Feature Set (Window, Presence) only work in Auto Mode? I am using the HACS Scheduler as recommended in the docs.. Now I have the strange behaviour, that when a new setting (comfort, eco, boost) is triggered by the scheduler, the mode gets set totally random. On one thermostat it switched to OFF, the other two was on heating. Before all 3 were on AUTO |

Hello, with VTherm you should not use the AUTO mode. In auto mode, your device can switch from Heat or Cool without information. This lead to improper behavior in VTherm which have different algorithm to heat or cool. You should only use the Heat or Cool or Off mode. That explain the random behavior I guess. |
