General cleanup in folders #73

This PR does 2 things:

  • Groups supported applications into 3 subfolders for clarity and easier navigation: terminals, editors and other apps (also ToC is updated)
  • Merges some old branches with WIP configs and templates, which may be useful for future work (all are marked with WIP)

@dngray @mcFrax @Tade0 Could you take a look and let me know whether this makes sense and makes things clearer?

These branches contained work-in-progress configs/templates that laid
dormant for several years. Rather than delete the branches altogether, I
want to keep them in history for archival reasons (also, it's likely
that I'll get back to this soon and finish them).
It was becoming hard to get an overview of what's happening in the root
dir, I think this is much clearer.
