It's quite unwieldy trying to have longer welcome messages as a text string on the server command line. Is it possible to add this by reference, i.e. by adding the path/filename to an HTML file as an alternative option? Thanks.

Ok, it is supported now. If you use a valid file name with the -w option, the file content is used for the welcome message.
