We distribute manylinux2014 binaries, which cannot be installed by some older pip versions on some LTS operating system/python version combinations by default. We should update our docs and provide upgrade instructions (python -m pip install pip --upgrade). Should also reference the compatibility table here: https://github.com/pypa/manylinux
