Change Fedora installation to the new official Helix package #8762
Conversation
Remove COPR install in favour of official Helix package
that is great news! |
Package was merged into rawhide! Should we wait for it to be available in a regular release though? |
Yes, I would recommend waiting for f39 to be live, as that's what most people will be using, makes sense to avoid some unnecessary support requests. If you want to speed up the merge process, give positive karma to this release: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-158be77e06 |
This is now ready to merge. Helix is live on F39, and will roll out to all mirrors over the next 24 hours. |

Helix has now been approved for official inclusion into the Fedora project, so this PR updates the documentation to enable users to install the official version rather than the community provided COPR version.
Please do not merge this just yet, as it will still be a week or so until the package is live, at which point I will update this from a draft to allow merging.
Thanks.
