Description

AKS now have the ability to enable Open Service Mesh as a managed addon. This is currently a preview feature but AFAICT shouldn't require vendoring a new API version of the SDK to enable this.

New or Affected Resource(s)

  • azurerm_kubernetes_cluster

Potential Terraform Configuration

resource "azurerm_kubernetes_cluster" "example" {
  name                = "example-aks1"
  location            = azurerm_resource_group.example.location
  resource_group_name = azurerm_resource_group.example.name
  dns_prefix          = "exampleaks1"

  default_node_pool {
    name       = "default"
    node_count = 1
    vm_size    = "Standard_D2_v2"
  }

  identity {
    type = "SystemAssigned"
  }

    open_service_mesh {
      enabled = true
