For a long time Nomad clients have intended to prefer servers in the same datacenter. This is intended to improve reliability by avoiding more lossy/latent network segments.

Unfortunately this appears to have broken in Nomad 0.8.0.

Nomad clients should prefer servers in the same datacenter over servers in other datacenters.
