This almost completes #2117. The color from the presentation layer is now used for approximation. There are still a few vestiges that use the color stored in
Region, but rooting those out shouldn't be a problem now. It's mostly a matter of making sure that the presentation layer is available everywhere it needs to be, then use it there.
