From the scale of the image that I can see, this is really quite unidentifiable. Zoomed in, I guess it's a toothpaste/brush pair? |
Yes, I was looking for something identifiable by the shape and thought about this pair. Maybe you have other ideas? |
FWIW, I understood it as toothpaste and brush before I read the first comment. But that may be because I knew that it was to signify a chemist. |

I still feel 1) is the best, but 4) is a close second for me. When depicting "this-and-that" kind of shops, like this one, I try to mimic current department store icon, which contains many (4!) more or less recognizable elements. Differentiation: similar shop=perfumery is currently rare (368 uses), so it's probably far from being rendered separately, but I guess it should look like this: (or this: ). |

English allows you to create new words, and in particular using the typical prefixes and suffixes. Thus, it is a word :-) And back on topic, I like the toothbrush/paste proposal. |
@nebulon42 Maybe. =} However that was impressive for me. One-man survey I conducted indicates 1) was instantly recognized, so I will probably stay with it. |
