What

Teleport currently offers the failed_connect_to_node_attempts_total metric for logins that fail. Request is to also expose a metric for request_to_connect_to_node to track total node connect requests and successfully_connect_to_node to track successful node connects.

Why

Tracking at least two metrics is necessary to figure out the overall Teleport service status. Right now we only have the failed event without context in relation to the total.

Workaround

Read from audit log for events and find a way to track

closed by #11240 tracking total node attempts, allowing for a percentage based tracking of failed vs total (also implying total success attempts)
