The feature

Should we keep the circular design or keep it as close to the real logo as possible? To comply with brand guidelines.
(Not an expert in this field.)

Why?

We currently support "only" 5 social media networks, and the more the merrier. 😉

Our first idea was to only show the major ones in the table, due to size restrictions in the table. On each organization, we show them all.
We have an issue for localizing that selection: #154
And relevant is also the issue about X: #294

As a sidenote, we don't care at all about brand guidelines, as we only use them nominally. But we do care about the license of the files, and simple icons seems like a great resource in that regard.

This is the most extreme case (currently on GD).

Suggestion: Don't link accounts on the country page and only use the logo once per network (even if there are multiple accounts). This might also solve #315 or at least make it a little better.

I think we could give columns a max-width to ensure these break earlier(~300px) and maybe we could make accounts on the same platform collapse and expand on hover, like this: https://smolcss.dev/#smol-avatar-list

I imagine that it could be useful to see that there is many accounts on a single platform already in the overview but that might very well be just me.

Certainly visually it's a useful feature, but functionally I don't know. How many people go directly from the country page to the social media account? Especially if there are several from the same network. ❓
