Let's discuss #81 first and then continue on this one, if we decide to keep Composer command line tool only, this option won't be required since you can pass value as environment variable (Composer tries to follow 12 rules of good cli apps)

Changing paths on #77 has removed my need for this. Up to you if you want to keep the request alive.
