For open source or other projects that have many contributors, it would be useful that the Gitpod projects are based on forks by default, so the user doesn't need to fork it manually. Not all people understand Git very well. Thanks
Alternatively, or as a first/tmp fix for this, it would be good to have the forking process explained somewhere in the docs. I only found https://www.gitpod.io/docs/git/ but forking itself isn't mentioned anywhere. Also not found in https://theia-ide.org/docs/
