Terminal colors in spc not showing up

When using vim spc to edit remote files, the terminal strips all of the syntax highlighting from vim. Used my exact same zsh/vim profiles on iTerm and standard terminal on MacOS, and they worked fine.

Also, possibly related to terminfo.

Very likely to be terminfo then, make sure you have it properly installed on the remote.

You could probably also :set termguicolors, but I'm not sure if it would work.

if you have terminfo installed check to make sure COLORTERM is set to truecolor (this should be getting set properly though with terminfo I would think)

TRUECOLOR → truecolor, and it's set by Ghostty at

ghostty/src/termio/Exec.zig

try env.put("COLORTERM", "truecolor");

even if the terminfo does not exist.

I'm not sure if SSH preserves it though (but it probably does).

Welp... made some changes to vimrc, and added vim-plug and a coc-nvim. Also turned on number & relativenumber and that seemed to work. Thanks for the help y'all.
