Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

A number of features require a database, such as viewing previously published posts or uploaded files, or syndicating posts. Currently the application does not indicate this, but instead throws an error.

Describe the solution you’d like

Show a more descriptive error if trying to use a feature that requires a database.
