Hi Janne,

Thank you for the merge request you created. We recently released the macOS version and will soon be releasing the macOS source code as well.

Currently, we do not have plans to implement for Linux.

Given this information, would you like to close the MR, or is there anything else we can assist you with?

It's understandable if the Gematik does not want to support a linux version of the full authenticator. Nonetheless, we and other companies need to mock authentication in environments where only linux is available (developer machines, CI, etc).

Ideally, the Gematik would provide binaries of the mock version for linux. If that's not possible, we'd still prefer being able to build our own unofficial binaries from the master branch instead of having to apply our own patches.

[...] zunächst unter Windows - später auch unter Mac OS und Linux [...]

One of these pieces of information is incorrect.

Hi @HarHarLinks, I think I expressed myself wrong. By ‘currently,’ I meant that we do not have any development plans at the moment, but we definitely aim to support Linux in the long term.

Ok @janne-koschinski, I will discuss this with the team. We can accept these changes to provide an environment where you can use the app on Linux for now.

targeting pacman with electron-builder also works... if the correct dependencies are installed. there is this PKGBUILD on AUR that addresses this: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gematik-authenticator-git
something that i think could still be added is a note about how to set up the authenticator: protocol handler (the AUR package includes this, too).

Sorry for the late reply. We discussed this issue in our team and were able to merge this for the dev version of the authenticator, but not for the production version. For the production version, we need to have a deeper conversation within the team.
