.. using checkpoint. As with fluxd, it just logs the result. helm-operator also gains a `--version` flag while we're at it.

As for fluxd, check for updates and log the result. Minor, but can be useful (disclosure: useful to Weaveworks as well, since we see the checks come in. They can be switched off with the env entry CHECKPOINT_DISABLE=1).
