Operating system: Windows 7 (also tried on Window 8.1 & 10) I also having the same problem as described above. |

Same here. Mainly freezes after adding Elements/Lines and creating connections followed by a immediatly save (Control+S). |

Same here! save using ctrl+s,window freezes,any opretions can't do but end the pencil process！ |

Same here! Save using Ctrl + S freezes Pencil with waiting cursor. Window seems to be responding once Windows does not mark it as Not Respoding, even the close button seems to work, but no button inside window is clickable. Checked that CPU hits 25% (on an I5) 1GB for memory consumption during this process. |

Same here, Ubuntu 16.10 64bit. After trying to select font or trying to save a document it can freeze and only way to solve this is by killing the process and starting from last save. Not really a solution. Is there any way we can help? |

Your mileage may vary, but so far pencil-3.0.0rc2 has been behaving properly for me on windows 7 64bit |

Please include the version that you are using. In 3.0.2 we expect that saving-cause-hang was fixed. |

As I mentioned, the procedure to take the log is to open the console before it got frozen. To do this, please try to find a way in which you see Pencil tends to have the problem and repeat it with the console open and expect to re-produce the issue. |

Ok, i try, but i never know when software freeze, think is near to

Pencil tends to have the problem and repeat it with the console open and

Don't expect that you can do anything when it gets frozen.

@dgthanhan Take log, after frozen. Hope is correct, text i take from pencil console. Idk if which you need. If not, please tell me what i can do and how. To save, i use file format epgz. -------- all text on console tab ----------- util.js:475 Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience. Same problem with Pencil 3.0.4 on Ubuntu 14.04.5, freezes on save. Not sure when does this happens, but I think it may be a font related issue. If I add new objects or change they position or size I have no problems, but after I change the font on an object and I want to save then it freezes. I'm having the same issue... after spending two hours creating a graphic. Yes, I should've saved sooner but, the only program in my 30+ years that didn't save (eg in background) is Illustrator CS6. In any case I took screenshots of what I could and am going to have to force-close. Am using 3.0.0 Update: Had to force-close. Lost everything. No fun. |
Operating system: OSX 10.11.6 (El Captain)
Pencil version: Pencil 3.0.0 - RC1
Scenario:
I think this could be related to issue #151.
In order to close Pencil I right clicked the application from the Dock and hit close. A new prompt appears in Pencil. I have to tab my way to "discard changes" and hit enter. Pencil is now closed but I guess any changes are not.
