I have the same behavior after HA Restart with the ems-esp shower device. All entities are shown as:

  • Shower Active: unavailable
  • Shower Duration: unavailable
  • Shower Timestamp: unavailable

As soon as the next shower is completed all entities are fine again.
I would expect the last status, same as for all other ems-esp entities.

Do I need to raise an own issue or is there already a solution available?

The Firmware on my EMS-ESP: v3.7.0-dev.17

I pushed a small update the 3.7.0-dev and updated https://emsesp.org/Home-Assistant/#shower-integration for the HA scripts.

There still may be warnings in HA, and there's not a lot EMS-ESP can do (and its not a bug either). It's just how HA works. You're adding entities to a dashboard that don't exist yet. Having a state 'unknown' is normal. Anyway, this should slightly improve the warnings. Feel free to update the example HA scripts if you find a better solution!
