Kibana version:
8.10.4
Elasticsearch version:
8.10.4
Server OS version:

Browser version:
Chrome
Browser OS version:

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.):

Describe the bug:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. I've had trouble reproducing this issue to be honest. I created a new deployment with version 8.10.4 to try to replicate it but couldn't get it to trigger again. I'll create a discussion post with my steps to fix the problem if other users come across this.

Expected behavior:
User should have the ability to utilize the New, Open, Share, Alerts, Inspect, Save links and buttons.
Screenshots (if relevant):
setup_guide_blank
setup_guide_available

Errors in browser console (if relevant):

Provide logs and/or server output (if relevant):

Any additional context:
A user was unable to use the Share feature in the Discover section to export logs even though they have Superuser and Kibana_Admin roles. They were logged into the Default Space and using a specific data view. When they went to use the Share function the area in the UI which included the New, Open, Share, Alerts, Inspect links and the Save button was blank. However, when they click on the Setup Guide button and then went back to that view these options were available. Theres a lot of variables here so I've had trouble reproducing it but I found it very odd that a user who has used this deployment for years now and has Superuser/Kibana Admin privileges would come across this issue.

@davismcphee this definitely looks to be the case
@FreerideTheWorld one question I have, for this user, reloading the browser also didn't work?

Closing this, because after further testing I'm pretty sure it's #172716 , and therefor it's a duplicate which will be fixed with this. @FreerideTheWorld feel free to add additional context, or to reopen if you think it's not #172716, Thx for reporting!

@kertal Sorry for the late reply, I've been out of the office, I just wanted to give a quick reply on the reloading browser part. I see you have a fix coming for this so thats great to hear but I don't recall being able to fix this with page refresh. At this point its "water under the bridge" but I just wanted to provide a response so that it didnt seem like I was ignoring your question. I appreciate the team getting this fixed for us users!

thx @FreerideTheWorld , FYI @Dosant who fixed it, it sounds like a bit different use case, do you think it's also fixed?
