So, you've downloaded the only version of Demon's Dance.
I suppose writing detailed instructions would be a little
useless, as it is most likely that the only people downloading
this will be other coders curious as to what I wrote. But here
are some rudimentary instructions anyways:

1. There is already a MSVC .NET project in the root dir
of the mud, but if you have a different version, it
shouldn't be hard to create your own. You want an
    empty win32 console project.
2. You need to add wsock32.lib into the linker libraries
    under the project options.
3. Copyover was sort of working, the only problem is
MSVC cannot rebuild onto a program currently running.
When I was fiddling, I had it switch between two
seperate programs, which I would build as needed.
    Rom24.exe is the main executable.
4. Upon execution, create a character, save, and quit.
Open up the file "../player/<name>.dir" and change your
level to 110, and your security to 60. This should allow
you to use all the immortal commands.

5. For all you linux junkies out there, I have successfully
ported this to linux, the only difficulties arise from
comments using "//" instead of "/* */", and from the
#ifdef (WIN32) things. The major changes will occur
in comm.c where you'll have to make it use the correct
embedded socket functions, instead of the windows ones.
Just search for WIN32, and use your intelligence to change
    it.

Hope you enjoy,
