Auth connectors not successfully logging users in

Per testing w/ Adient, discovered that the redirect to log users in after completing a SAML flow does not successfully log them into the Admin panel. Instead they are simply brought back to the login screen.

I suspect this is because the handshake that places the generated JWT token is not being set as described in the URL ?jwt=jwt
