When walt is installed in a large building, like here at LIG, the output of
walt device tree
is not so easy to read: some devices are directly connected to wall plugs, and even if those wall plugs have a name printed on a tag, walt does not know those names. So instead it prints the port number found when communicating with the switch, an integer. It would be handy to be able to rename these switch ports and give them the name printed on the wall plug tag.
How to provide this feature to walt users remains to be determined.
