In the hope of reinvigorating some TLC for this plugin I created a config.schema.json which automatically creates a nice settings panel to configure homebridge-milight in homebridge-config-ui-x, see this image: https://i.imgur.com/m0ZoSJn.png
Really love this plugin, it's a big part of my home setup, thanks for making it!
