Please don’t confuse running Windows and Linux Docker simultaneously and managing with Docker Desktop both type of containers from a single UI.
AFAIK running both type simultaneously from docker command line is already supported.
Can you please re-open this ticket and answer to it with an ETA?

No, it's the same. If you read the original ticket, it says "The option to work streamless with Linux and Windows container is hard, because of the switch context option."
