How to deploy a WorkbenchFX application with JavaFX

I'm building an application with several modules for our first-level support
to complete small tasks over a GUI with WorkbenchFX as framework.

Before continuing to develop modules, I want to create a deployable artifact.

Maven with
OpenJDK 11
WorkbenchFX 11.3.1

I tried the following steps (using: https://openjfx.io/openjfx-docs/):

Deploy as a module
With the command mvn javafx:jlink I receive the following error:

Error: automatic module cannot be used with jlink: com.google.common (guava is not modular)

Okay, so I have to continue as non-module

Deploy as a non-modular project
So I removed module-info.java and followed the instructions on "https://openjfx.io/openjfx-docs/"
for non-modular deployment using the shade-plugin for maven.
After setting up everything I hit mvn compile package and the plugin does its job an produces
a jar file which I can execute with java -jar shade/MyApp.jar. The Workbench starts and appears
but there is a problem with the MaterialDesing icons:

So at this point, I am running out of ideas... What is the preferred way to deploy an application using this framework?

Looking at the exception I would say that simply the "Material Design" Icon Font is missing in your class path.

I searched for this package and found this documentation: "https://kordamp.org/ikonli/"

After reading this I added a transformer in my shade-plugin config:

<transformer implementation="org.apache.maven.plugins.shade.resource.ServicesResourceTransformer" />

Now I can execute my application with java -jar MyApp.jar
