Checkpoints count incorrect on project list/individual page

The "Checkpoints" column on the "My Projects" list page reads "No checkpoint set," and the individual project page states "Last Checkpoint: No Checkpoints." However, in the application I can see that each time I run predictions on any defined AOI, a new checkpoint is added to the "Checkpoints" list. I also see a number, e.g. 24, as the checkpoint in the list of exported maps on the individual project page.

@vgeorge can you clarify what the intended behavior and counts should be for the checkpoint creation and listing?
