We've been seeing a number of GH issues where folks are running docker with the default shared memory setting of 64MB. In many cases this limited value causes all sorts of cryptic errors: #4002, #4000, #3989, #2897 #3253
This PR adds a check and warning to
ds_reportto help guide users that have small /dev/shm sizes that they may need to increase this value.On NCCL systems adding a link to their troubleshooting docs discussing this issue: https://docs.nvidia.com/deeplearning/nccl/user-guide/docs/troubleshooting.html#sharing-data
