Describe the bug

When I add a description to a column, it appears in docs but isn't searchable in the search bar

Steps To Reproduce

Add a description to a column, generate docs, try to search on a word from your description

Expected behavior

Search should look through column descriptions

Screenshots and log output

The output of dbt --version:

Using dbt cloud - this command doesn't work

Additional context

It's working for other descriptions e.g. table descriptions.

hi @janinebtgh, are you using dbt Cloud? if so, consider going through support for faster support on this issue: https://docs.getdbt.com/guides/legacy/getting-help#dbt-cloud-support

this sounds like it'd be a major enhancement to the search functionality

Hello,

I'm experiencing the same issue with dbt docs, but I'm using locally dbt version 1.3.0.

dbt --version output:

Core:
  - installed: 1.3.0
  - latest: 1.3.0 - Up to date!

Plugins:
  - postgres: 1.3.0 - Up to date!
  - redshift: 1.3.0 - Up to date!

To be clear, this is an enhancement / feature request! Not a bug with existing functionality, but rather a proposed extension of it.

Thank you for the clarification, I supposed it was a bug from the post, but I never tried in previous versions to look for fields' descriptions to be honest.

In that case it would be a really great enhancement / feature to have.

In my scenario I'm using it for multilanguage search, since in the field's description I need to put the translated name of the field, and it would be great to be able to look for it in the search bar.
