  • Will you eventually switch the default compression format to zstd:chunked ? I am pretty sure you are waiting that Docker 22.06 is released, I am too !
    Yes we would love to change to default to zstd:chunked. Right now the plan, as I understand it, is to start pushing image in two different formats (Which will be able to be configured in containers.conf). Then Podman and friends will be smart enough to use the zstd by default. Older versions of Podman and Docker will still use the gzip format.
