This is regarding the issue #665. I tested this on inline-tool-link and inlineToolbar is available to close it.

@neSpecc This file is also named inline.ts. Should we rename this as well?

no, it's included at the /toolbar/ directory, so this is a redundant addition

  • I can not build a project because of TS errors. Is everything is ok with your bundle?
  • Need to add a bundle

Do i need to dist/editor.js as well? It was in dist/* so I skipped it.

yes, currently we have a bundle in a repo. Maybe removed later.

Okay I'll push dist/editor.js as well.

@neSpecc Should I build bundle in prod, or dev is okay?

@tanmayv
The example-dev.html page doesn't work in your branch

@gohabereg Fixed the issue. src/components/modules/api/inline-toolbar.ts can't have hyphen in it so change it to src/components/modules/api/inlineToolbar.ts

  • open editor
  • do not select any block
  • call api.inlineToolbar.open()

Error will be thrown

TypeError: null is not an object (evaluating 't.parentNode')
value — editor.js:4566
value — editor.js:6737
value — editor.js:6712
value — editor.js:3925
Global Code
evaluateWithScopeExtension
_evaluateOn
_evaluateAndWrap

You should add a checking for a BlockManager.currentBlock existence at the toolbar/inline.js@open

Also error are throwed even when one block is selected, but without caret in there. Click at the Block's right zone, near three-dots, then call open

This should be fixed now.

I wasn't able to recreate this. Is this still happening?

Everything is right now. Good work!

Please, add a line described a new feature at the CHANGELOG.md (below new 2.13 section, because it would be a minor release, not patch)

Updated the changelog.md and api.md as well to document new api methods.

* Activating Open Collective (#736)

Hi, I'm making updates for Open Collective. Either you or a supporter signed this repo up for Open Collective. This pull request adds backers and sponsors from your Open Collective https://opencollective.com/editorjs❤️

It adds two badges at the top to show the latest number of backers and sponsors. It also adds placeholders so that the avatar/logo of new backers/sponsors can automatically be shown without having to update your README.md. [more info](https://github.com/opencollective/opencollective/wiki/Github-banner). See how it looks on this [repo](https://github.com/apex/apex#backers).

You can also add a postinstall script to let people know after npm|yarn install that you are welcoming donations (optional). [More info](https://github.com/OpenCollective/opencollective-cli)
You can also add a "Donate" button to your website and automatically show your backers and sponsors there with our widgets. Have a look here: https://opencollective.com/widgets

P.S: As with any pull request, feel free to comment or suggest changes. The only thing "required" are the placeholders on the README because we believe it's important to acknowledge the people in your community that are contributing (financially or with code!).

Thank you for your great contribution to the open source community. You are awesome! 🙌
And welcome to the open collective community! 😊

* Activating Open Collective (#736)

Come chat with us in the #opensource channel on https://slack.opencollective.com - great place to ask questions and share best practices with other open source sustainers!
