This PR contains a bunch of small updates to various plugins and configuration files that were useful for the debugging of phase-2 ALCARECO samples that lead to PR #43859.

PR validation:

The following tests:

• scram b runtests_Miscellanea
• scram b runtests_DiMuonVertex
• scram b runtests_PrimaryVertex

run fine.
