Equilux-Firefox

A neutral dark balanced color scheme for Firefox using userContent.css and userChrome.css. The theme changes the background color for the home page, new tab page, and removes the white background on page load. Recommended used together with the Equilux Theme or Firefox Color.

Using Equilux-Firefox

  1. Clone or download repository.
  2. In the firefox address bar, go to about:profiles and 'Open Directory' of your used profile.
  3. Create a 'chrome' folder if it doesn't exist.
  4. Extract and copy userChrome.css and userContent.css into the folder.

Note: If the chrome folder along with userChrome.css and userContent.css already exists, you can copy the repo's userChrome and userContent code and append it.

Equilux-Firefox using Firefox Color

Not using GTK? You can use the new Firefox Test Pilot Color extension instead.

Firefox Color makes it easy for anyone to change the look of Firefox. It’s a simple tool that lets you choose different color combinations and background textures for your own Firefox theme.

Install Firefox Test Pilot, enable Firefox Color, then visit the Equilux-Firefox Color Theme.

Extras

The main color used in the Equilux Theme is #373737, you may change the color to suit other themes by replacing the --main-color variable in userContent and userChrome.

  • Arc Theme - #29303a
  • Adapta - #263238
  • Pop! - #574e4a
  • Dark Flat - #121212

Special Thanks

To ddnexus for creating the Equilux Theme.
