Hi, I am working with Hifiasm to assemble the genomes of several species, each with a reasonable genome size ranging from 0.7 to 2 Gbp. While most assemblies have proceeded without issues, I’ve encountered a problem with one species. The program remains active (using CPU and RAM) but gets stuck for days without crashing. The estimated genome size of this species is approximately 1.8 Gbp. I used Hifiasm version 0.20.0-r639 with 72.14 Gb of PacBio HiFi data with an N50 of 16 Mbp. I ran the program with 40 CPUs in default mode with the "--primary" option. I’ve attached the log file for reference. Any insights into potential issues with my data would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help! Hifiasm.Lob.e6861692.txt
