This is a first draft based on discussions in issue #256 and in Discussions #322.

Looks good so far, @larsbarring. I am just wondering, since there are so many acronyms across this page (usually defined at the first case of us but often used again later), maybe we can have a small section at the top or bottom of the document listing the acronyms and what they stand for to save re-referencing them in the text and as a way for readers to easily check?

At the bottom I have now added a table providing brief explanation of the acronyms. As you noted there are many of them, meaning that the section is not that small. What do you think?
