So you can see what effect adding a transaction has on your account balances.

I'm thinking about putting this in a new right-side info pane. I'm not sold on the design yet (either colors or adding a new pane).

It's OK but not the result I was hoping for. I would use it because it gives me the functionality that I was looking for but ideally, I think that it should be in the left-hand column.

Perhaps, if you go with the added column, you could make this an option

I like that there's only one pane, but not how much wider it is. I would probably truncate the longer account names if I went this route.

Could you explain what will be your "real life" use of such a feature ? Is every account balance important for you ? I would be interested to understand why !

Indeed, in my case, I have a LOT of accounts, mainly because here in China we use plenty of virtual payment systems in parallel (AliPay for my Wife and I, WeChat for my Wife and I, etc...). Each of these systems can very easily and instantly show me their balance (from the smartphone APP for example) but because my money is completely spread over none of these balance make any sense. I don't really care whether my money is on WeChat, on AliPay, or on my real bank. I prefer the overall balance that Bucket can show me in the top panel because that one makes a lot of sense : it's the real availble money.

The only accounts for which the balance makes individually some sense to me are the savings accounts, but these are off-budget !
