Socket.io has strictly typed events as of version 4.0.0. This PR adds a note of that, recommending to consider that as an alternative to this library.
I'm the person who contributed that feature to socket.io, and I just wanted to say that the implementation was directly inspired by the groundwork laid out here — so thank you for your work on this!
Fixes #12.
