- There is a housing database from the University. It is like any other publicly available housing databases, but there are some apartments that can be found exclusively in this database. Anyone who is seeking for an accommodation can register as a tenant and get access to the apartment listing. - Office is nearby Freiburg-Mooswald, Stühlinger, Betzenhausen, Seepark, Freiburg Landwasser
- Hugstetten (March) and other smaller villages are reachable by train or S-Bahn and might be worthwhile to consider if you don’t need to live inside Freiburg.
- In Freiburg you can reach everything by bike, we all go by bike to work. You do not need a car and also no public transport. However, Freiburg has a very good Tram line connection inside the entire city. In addition there is a S-Bahn with a stop directly at our offices. Aa a university employee, you get a bonus for a monthly public transport ticket. It is called JobTicket or Deutschland Ticket Job. Also provides you with statistics on how many people have contacted/applied/replied to an advertisement and so on.

- There are a lot of villages around Freiburg. They usually have weekly local news papers too. They advertise the houses only occassionally because there are limited number of apartments and population in those dorfs. If there is no option left, it is worth looking into them. Search for those newspapers on google. Use keywords like “nachrichtenblatt” or “gemeindeblatt” along with a village name. For example: “nachrichtenblatt Bötzingen”, “gemeindeblatt gottenheim”
