Update Environment

Configure the environment in file config.ini

• controller_url

  For example: https://my-appd-instance.saas.appdynamics.com:443/controller

• controller_client_id

  For example: api-user-id@my-appd-instance. Required role: Applications & Dashboards Viewer (Default)

• controller_client_secret

  The API Key

Build the docker image

Note	This Dockerfile is using appdynamics/machine-agent as a base, installs python, copies the files and build the python environment.

docker build -t appdynamics/machine-agent-python:alpine-latest .

Run the docker container

docker run -d \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_CONTROLLER_HOST_NAME={{controller_endpoint}} \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_CONTROLLER_PORT={{controller_port}} \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_CONTROLLER_SSL_ENABLED=true \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_ACCOUNT_NAME={{agent_account_name}} \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_ACCOUNT_ACCESS_KEY={{agent_account_access_key}} \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_UNIQUE_HOST_ID=monitor \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_APPLICATION_NAME=monitor \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_TIER_NAME=monitor \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_AGENT_NODE_NAME=monitor \
    -e APPDYNAMICS_SIM_ENABLED=true \
    --name appd-machine-agent \
    appdynamics/machine-agent-python:alpine-latest

Read log files
