Bitcoin is an experimental new digital currency that enables instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network. Ensocoin is the name of open source software which enables the use of this currency.
For more information, as well as an immediately useable, binary version of the Ensocoin software, see https://www.ensocoin.org/download, or read the original whitepaper.
Ensocoin is released under the terms of the MIT license. See COPYING for more information or see https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT.
Ensocoin is an implementation of the Bitcoin client software that is based on Bitcoin Core. However, Ensocoin has a very different philosophy than Core.
It follows a philosophy and is administered by a formal process described in the Articles of Federation. In short, we believe in market-driven decision making, emergent consensus, and giving our users choices.
