Developer Access to AnVIL Staging Environments

Use Case

As an AnVIL developer, in order to test new functionality, I need simultaneous access to staging instances of [terra, gen3, other...]

Create terra identity

• Browse to https://bvdp-saturn-dev.appspot.com/
• Create new profile, using a gmail account different from the one you intend on using in production
• Link DCP & DCF Framework Services using the 'Log-In to Framework services' links

Example:

Contact gen3

• email Garrett Rupp [email protected] to add user to staging.
• logon to https://staging.theanvil.io/ using the same gmail account
• visit your gen3 profile, you should see at least one project you have access to

Adjust your API configuration

• The production terra endpoint is https://api.firecloud.org, for staging use https://firecloud-orchestration.dsde-dev.broadinstitute.org/
  • e.g. $ fissfc --url https://firecloud-orchestration.dsde-dev.broadinstitute.org/
