Putting this in draft for a moment. I recall some conversation suggesting we don't want google 'stuff' in our docs generation, but I may be confusing conversations. I'll ask around and post the results of that conversation here.

@ssbarnea I pushed a commit that adds a comment to source about site verification. This explains how the metadata is used and clarifies that no tracking or analytics is involved. PTAL.
