@efiring I am merging this in - nobody seems to have raised any concerns. Note - the github altMIGgcm/MITgcm66h repo is for us to debug the github process before an official switch over, expected around September all being well. Changes to the current altMIGgcm/MITgcm66h code will not be migrated automatically. So we will have to remember to do this change again. |

I just appended "run/" and "build/" to .gitignore.
I don't see any reason not to ignore all "build" and "run" subdirectories and their contents, hence the suggested change. The trailing slash ensures that "/build/" will be ignored, but "*/now_build_something.sh" will not.
