  1. Open a project with many files and folders. You can use Brackets src.
  2. Expand some folders until you see the vertical scroll bar.
  3. Select any file in the file tree.

Result: Selection highlight is drawn up to where the vertical scroll bar appeared before (even if the vertical scroll bar is no longer visible).

@RaymondLim Isn't that the same as #9111?

#9111 applies to both working set and file tree and the pr is already in master. But somehow it is broken for the file tree but not the working set with Project Manager changes.

Closing as I can't reproduce it after deleting my preference files including state.json.

Reopening -- I can repro this currently:

proj tree gap

proj tree gap 2

Discussed in backlog grooming -- we do want to fix this, so the UI matches previous releases. Leaving open.

#9248 is dependent on this bug getting fixed.

@redmunds The fix for this issue is to get a little bar to cover the scrollbar. What is the connection between that and fixing #9248?

Maybe it's more like, we can't be 100% confident that #9248 is a safe change until we've fixed this in the project tree and thus can confirm that #9248 doesn't break this fix?

As stated in this comment, I no longer think these are related, but just wanted to be sure.
